Long:
Laura Cranehill is an amalgamation of horrific faceless things living in the Pacific Northwest with her spouse and three children who she is raising to be amazing video game players. She was born in Michigan where she grew up on a haunted peacock farm, studied writing and neuroscience at UCSD, and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco. She is a writer and poet whose work has been published in Strange Horizons, Vastarien, ergot., [PANK], and multiple award-winning anthologies. She is easily startled by cars, though not by monsters or horror nerds, so if you see her at a convention, please approach accordingly. Wife Shaped Bodies is her debut novel.
