Laura Cranehill was born in Michigan where she grew up on a haunted peacock farm. She’s lived in California, Morocco, and Oregon. She went to the University of California San Diego for neuroscience where she realized she loved learning about science but didn’t want to sit in a lab all day. Now, when she can, she sits in a garage all day writing and considers it a privilege.

Laura is a fourth-generation Tarot reader and currently lives in the Pacific Northwest with her spouse and three sons, who she’s raised to be amazing video game players. She is a Pushcart nominated writer and has been published in Strange Horizons, Vastarien, The Future Fire, [PANK], and others.

Laura is represented by Kurestin Armada at Root Literary.
